Many Years Experience
Not a Factory. A Workshop.
Every GotWood guitar starts as a conversation — about your tone, your technique, your hands, and the music only you can make. Then it becomes wood. Then it becomes an instrument that no one else on earth owns.
Mark Glass has many years of experience building instruments shaped by ear, not by CNC — no computer-controlled machines, no shortcuts. Based in Woodinville, Washington, the workshop exists for one reason: to build guitars that sound better, feel better, and outlast every mass-produced alternative on the market.
Instruments That Prove the Point
Each build is a reference — a demonstration of what happens when premium wood meets precision craftsmanship with zero compromise.

From First Conversation to Final Note
Your custom build isn't a transaction. It's a process designed to produce the best instrument you've ever held.
Consultation
We discuss your playing style, tonal preferences, aesthetic vision, and the specifications that matter most to your hands and your sound.
Wood Selection
You choose from hand-selected premium tonewoods — each piece evaluated for grain, resonance, weight, and visual character.
Crafting
Your guitar is hand-shaped, carved, fitted, and finished in our Woodinville workshop. No CNC shortcuts. Every contour is intentional.
Setup & Delivery
Professional setup dialed to your string gauge and action preference. Final inspection. Then it's yours — built to last generations.
Factory Guitars Are Compromises.
This Isn't.
Mass production optimizes for speed, cost, and consistency. Custom building optimizes for sound, feel, and the player. The difference isn't subtle — it's the difference between wearing off-the-rack and wearing tailored.
Hand-Selected Tonewoods
Every piece of wood is chosen for resonance, grain character, and tonal properties. Not pulled from a pile — selected from a curated inventory.
Zero CNC, Zero Shortcuts
Every body contour, neck profile, and fret slot is shaped by hand. The result is an instrument that feels alive — because it was made by one craftsman.
Setup Precision
Your guitar leaves the workshop dialed to your exact specs — string gauge, action height, pickup height, intonation. Not factory defaults.
One Builder. One Instrument.
Your guitar is built start to finish by one craftsman. That means accountability, consistency, and an instrument that speaks with one voice.
Real Players. Real Stories.
Every instrument leaves the workshop with a story. Here is what owners say about their builds.
“The neck settled into my hand immediately. It feels alive, stays in tune through hard sets, and has that clear single-coil snap without getting harsh.”
“This one records beautifully. Notes separate clearly in dense mixes, and the setup was dialed exactly where I asked for it.”
“Gift guitars can be sentimental but this is a serious instrument. Strong sustain, comfortable weight, and stage-ready from day one.”
The Wood Is the Instrument
Tone starts before the first cut. Every piece of wood carries its own voice — our job is to listen to it and build around what it wants to become.

Questions Answered
It begins with a consultation — in person, by phone, or by video. We discuss tonal preferences, playing style, wood choices, hardware, and aesthetics. From there we create a build spec, source materials, and start crafting. You receive updates throughout.
Most custom builds take 6–8 weeks depending on complexity, wood availability, and finishing requirements. Rush builds are not offered — every instrument gets the time it deserves.
Custom builds start at $2,000 and scale with materials, hardware, finish complexity, and aesthetic detailing. Every quote is itemized — no hidden costs, no upcharges after the fact.
A non-refundable deposit secures your build slot. The remaining balance is split across milestones — wood selection, body completion, and final delivery. We will walk you through the schedule before any money changes hands.
Every build comes with a lifetime craftsmanship warranty for the original owner, and a complimentary first-year setup at our Woodinville workshop.
Occasionally. When a signature build is completed and available, it will appear in our Featured Builds section. Otherwise, you can commission a build inspired by any signature model with your own customizations.
Professional players, serious hobbyists, collectors, and anyone who refuses to compromise on tone, playability, and build quality. If you care about the instrument in your hands, we built it for you.
